Over Memorial Day weekend, we had my family in town in NJ to
celebrate my dad’s birthday! It was
great to finally host and entertain my family at our house. Even though we’ve had friends visit, it was
great to throw a little party and use all our entertaining gear! I hadn’t used all my serving bowls, etc and
it was really fun J
We also ventured over to our neighborhood pool which had just
opened…it’s really nice and HUGE! It had
a great little baby pool for my niece.
It was so much fun to watch her be such a little girl, running (even
though being told to walk!) around the pool, kicking on the side and finally
getting in and walking around. She’s
been taking swim lessons this spring, but decided not show us any of those
skills. Maybe at the beach!
Nick got into grilling that night…on the menu we had
chicken, pasta salad, fruit salad, corn, homemade mac & cheese ending in a
delicious birthday cake! Cold beers and some wine topped off a Memorial Day
feast. The rest of the weekend was spent
playing with Caroline while the men played golf.
Great start to summertime!
yay! the pool!
kicking and splashing
finally wading across
buckets of fun with Uncle NICK! (she loves saying his name!)
trying to drink water out of a bottle like the rest of us...

ready for the party in her party dress!
Happy Birthday Dad/Tom/Granddaddy!
signs of a good weekend...tired puppy and chalk drawings. (he later stood up with a pink ear)
